EVA700 Initial Release Firmware

Limitations / Known Issues:

• “Passphrase” box on the WiFi Setup page does not accept a WPA/WPA2 passphrase. The passphrase must be entered into the “Key” box.
• “Key” box on WiFI Setup page sometimes does not show letters/numbers at all (only asterisks) after changing mode from lowercase to uppercase.
• Cannot connect to some routers (WNR834B, WPN824v2) when the router has WPA+WPA2 mixed-mode security enabled. Will be fixed in future firmware updates.
• Cannot connect to routers configured with Shared mode WEP. Router must be set to Auto or Open mode.
• There is video and audio stuttering while watching some higher-bitrate protected/DRM High Definition WMV streams.
• When connecting an iPod, the folder navigation tree does not show “friendly” file names, so it is difficult or impossible to tell what you are playing.
• There is no way to create playlists from EVA700. They must be created from the PC using a media player such as WMP or Winamp (or by using a text editor).
• Videos encoded with XviD using the “quarter-pel” or “global motion compensation” encoding options will not play properly on EVA700.
• Windows Media Connect will not detect and share AAC audio or QuickTime video by default. Use of another media server (such as Viiv or TwonkyVision) is recommended.
• Occasionally HTML/CSS code will appear briefly on the screen and then disappear while changing menus.
• Pressing the TV Mode button does not save the mode across reboots. After setting with the TV Mode button, the customer needs to go into Advanced settings and re-set and save the correct mode.

This firmware Version comes pre-loaded with the Digital Entertainer.
