WN311T Driver and Utility Version 2.0

WNR854T & WNR834B users must upgrade to the latest firmware inorder to maintain interoperability in 802.11n mode.

Fixes
- Improved driver stability when frequently switching between different wireless networks.
- Utility crash during site survey is resolved.
- GUI turns off the Internet Connection when Germany domain selected.
- The client will show correct encryption status when operating in "Mix mode (WPA/WPA2)".
- Site survey responds properly.
Known Issues
- Link rate will show 145Mbps in some situations. To work around this problem, Click the "Apply" button to re-associate with the wireless network.
- If correct settings are not saved in "Advanced Settings", the client will experience bad throuhgput in 802.11n mode.
To Install
Note: It's easy to damage exposed electrical parts. The damage might be hidden. It may take several shocks for serious problems to show. Avoid touching metal connection pins, and the exposed electrical circuits on the card's surface. The silver end mounting bracket is insulated, so it may be handled.

place such as your desktop.

If the adapter is already installed in your computer:
- Turn off your computer.
- Ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface on the outside back of the computer case. Click for information about grounding.
- Unplug the power cord.
- Open the computer case.
- Remove the WN311T adapter card from its slot. Note which slot it is in, because you'll want to use the same slot to reinsert the card, later.
- Replace the computer case.
- Plug in the power cord.
- Turn the computer on, and let it reboot completely.
- Run the wn311t_2_0_setup.exe file that you just downloaded.
- Select Uninstall, click Next
- Run the wn311t_2_0_setup.exe file again.
- Select your Country Domain, click Next.
- Click OK to the Country Domain Selection warning.
- Click Yes to the License Agreement.
- Click Finish
- Turn off your computer.
- Ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface on the outside back of the computer case.
- Unplug the power cord.
- Open the computer case.
- Place the WN311T adapter card firmly a slot. If it was previously installed, use the same slot again.
- Replace the computer case.
- Plug in the power cord.
- Turn the computer on, and let it reboot completely.
- Click Next to start the Found New Hardware Wizard.
- Click Finish when Found New Hardware Wizard is completed.
- Close the installation program.
- Using the WN311T utility in Start > Programs to monitor signal strength, place the adapter where the signal is strongest.
