2.0.13 Fixes

  1. Certain Internet intruder detection software may mistakenly detected a special "ICMP echo request message" generated by TrendMicro module as a potential worm attack. This will cause the PC to reject any traffic to/from the router and user may experience dropped connection randomly. This message is now disabled in this new release.
  2. MTU value is now correctly displayed in the WAN setup page.
  3. Fixed a router crash problem caused by Simplified Chinese version of eMule.
  4. Fixed a router reboot problem caused by PPTP connection.
  5. Fixed a host name string problem in the block site page.
  6. Added support for Nofeel FTP server.
  7. Added support for Windows Messenger 5.1 SIP
  8. If SSID is changed only ( no change in passphrase ), this version will now correct a problem with the key generation algorithm.
  9. Added support for AIM messenger 1.0.4
  10. Fixed ICMP MTU handling problem when the packet size is larger than MTU size.
  11. Allow user to enter single address in static route settings page.

2.0.10 Enhancements

  1. Improves LAN to WAN throughput. (That is, throughput from your network to the Internet.)
  2. Complies with a new FCC requirement.

To Upgrade

Upgrades should be done using a wired Ethernet connection, if possible.

  1. Before you upgrade write down all the settings you changed from default values, as you need to enter them MANUALLY after upgrading. Typically, people change: SSID, channel, password, and security (WEP, WPA).
  2. Download to a convenient place such as your desktop.

Download link for customers in North America:

    1.03 MB

  3. Open the browser and access the router (usually the address is http://192.168.1.1).
  4. Log in to the router (User Name = admin and Password = password unless you have changed it).
  5. Click Maintenance > Router Upgrade
  6. Click Browse and locate the upgrade file (download link is below).
  7. Click Upload
  8. Wait for the router to reboot.
  9. Verify that the router firmware by checking the firmware version under Maintenance > Router Status
  10. Reset router to factory defaults by clicking Maintenance > Backup Settings > Erase
  11. Wait for the router to reboot.
  12. Log in to the router.
  13. Enter the routers settings you noted down before upgrading. We recommend running the Setup Wizard to automatically detect your broadband configuration.
