SC101 Firmware Version 4.19.0 and Utility Version 1.5.6

SC101 Firmware 4.19.0 and Utility 1.5.6

  • The automatic update method described directly below is recommended. The manual upgrade method is also described.
  • If using the manual method, either the utility or the firmware can be upgraded first.
  • Before starting, make sure the SC101 is on, connected to your computer, and that the computer has Intenet access.

Bug Fixes

  1. The missing mirrored drive issue is fixed. Previously, attached mirrored drive disappeared and used to require removing the registry entry or reinstalling the SCM.
  2. Fixes the issue that a Powerpoint or Excel file might be corrupted when used.
  3. Fixes the issue that in very rare case, two drives could be created with the same volume ID, which can cause drive attachment or detachment issues.
  4. Attached drives randomly being detached happens much less frequently.
  5. Fixes the issue that some disks sometimes do not wake up after standby. (E.g., Seagate 300G HDD)
  6. Fixed: If the disk doesn't wake after standby, the PC can run endlessly sending requests trying to wake it, causing high CPU utilization..
  7. Fixes the issue that SCM configuration GUI doesn't run on foreground on Hungarian and Polish Windows OS.
  8. If a mirrored drive is created across two SC101 units (instead of within the same SC101) upgrading one SC101 at a time might unintentionally break the mirroring when that SC101 reboots after the upgrade. This issue is resolved. You may need to manually reattach the drive upon firmware upgrade completion.
