FVS124G ProSafe VPN Firewall 25 Release Notes for Version 1.1.17

This describes bug fixes in the FVS124G Release Version 1.1.17 software added since Release Version 1.1.13.

  1. SIP ALG related issues.
  2. VPN hub and spoke configuration issue.
  3. PPPoE connection drop problem.
  4. Keyword filtering problems.
  5. Miscellaneous bug fixes. 

Version 1.1.13

  1. Fixed saving of email configuration.
  2. Fixed Send Log.
  3. Fixed DST issue when WAN is not connected.
  4. Fixed remaining DynDNS issues.
  5. Increased Firewall throughput.
  6. Improved VPN logs.
  7. Password protection warning added to configuration backup page.
  8. Fixed adding and editing firewall policies above 256.

  1. Fixed: Austria PPTP login.
  2. Fixed: DynDNS problems.
  3. Fixed: NTP time not reliable.
  4. Fixed: In some cases, SNMP access can cause router to crash.

To Upgrade

Before upgrading, write down all the configuration information you changed from the defaults. You may need to reenter them later..

  1. Download to a convenient place such as your desktop.

  2. Using a browser, login to the router as admin.
  3. Under Management, click Router Upgrade.
  4. Click Browse and locate the upgrade file you just downloaded fvs124g_v1_1_17.img.
  5. Click Upload.
  6. Wait for the router to reboot and the TEST LED to turn off.
  7. Power the router off.
  8. Power the router back on again.

For problems after upgrading, clear the configuration, using the Factory Defaults pushbutton on the rear panel, or the Erase button in the Backup Settings menu. Then reenter your configuration information manually.
