Enhancements and Fixes Since 1.4.1.9

  • Fixed the issue that Attached Devices do not show all the attached PCs.
  • Fixed wireless computer running WPA-PSK not able to get DHCP IP from router.
  • Incoming PPTP now works.
  • Improved German browser support.
  • Added support for the card reader of the Sony Micro Vault memory stick.
  • Can now set schedule overnight.
  • Can now send email logs to server requiring authentication.
  • Fixed the problem that when a USB disk is unplugged from the router, the partitions still shows up.
  • Fixed the issue that adding a LAN IP reservation may crash the router.
  • Fixed the issue that Linux ext2/ext3 partitions sometimes not show up in the Attached Disk list.

New Features and Fixes Since 1.4.1.5

  1. This version of firmware is officially Xbox Live Microsoft certified.
  2. Supports Linux ext2 and ext3 file systems.
  3. Added AR(Adaptive Radio) and XR (eXtended Range) features.
  4. Added Port Triggering feature.
  5. Support both TCP and UDP port forwarding on the same port.
  6. Added "Browse" function in the USB disk setup and wizard pages.
  7. The remote management logging session is removed when the feature is turned off.
  8. Fixed the bug that can't tab-jump in Firefox browser.
  9. Fixed the bug that WAN connection shows as 0.0.0.0 even after renew.
  10. Wizard now detects Austria PPTP successfully.

New Features and Major Fixes with Beta 1.4.1.5

1. Added USB hub support (up to 26 USB disks can be supported)
2. Added checkbox to enable/disable FTP access
3. Hardware reset to factory default can be done without having to wait till the router is fully booted up
4. If keyword blocking is enabled, the router will promt the site blocked message page, instead of showing site not found.
5. Fixed the bug that the router still remembers the old login session after changing the LAN IP subnet
6. Fixed the bug that FTP user created by "USB Drive Wizard" won't work unless edited in "USB Drive Settings" page
7. Fixed PPPoE DNS issue
8. Fixed the bug that if "Response to ping" is enabled, user won't be able to access Internet

Workaround is to add the router IP address ( default is 192.168.1.1 ) to the TCP/IP WINS tab.
· PPPoE on demand connection may not start until multiple packets are sent
· WEB UI acts weird after a firmware upgrade. The fix is to follow the standard home router upgrade procedure and after a firmware upgrade, reset the router to factory default.

Known Issues

Known Issues

· Access to the router-attached shared disk using \\wgt634u format may not work due to setting in Microsoft Networking. · After a router reboot, the client PC may fail to retrieve IP address via DHCP. The workaround is either reboot the PC or use IPCONFIG /RENEW to retrieve the new IP address
· FTP access from WAN or Internet is not READ ONLY if the FTP setting is READ/WRITE. The workaround is to set up a different FTP account as READ ONLY.
· Editing the FTP access entry or creating a new entry will cause intermittent failure in FTP log in. Workaround is to edit the FTP access entry and re-enter the password field.
· Terminating a file copy operation to a shared disk will leave an orphan partial file. Workaround is to delete this partial file manually.
