WAG511 Version 3.1
Supports Windows 98 SE, Me, 2000 and XP.
Improvements
1. Fixed issue connecting to access points that use Broadcom chipset
and with access control list enabled
2 . Fixed wireless noise issue
3 . Allow enable/disable Autocell without restarting computer
Limitations and Issues
1. When connecting to with Netgear ME102, after changing from WEP to
no WEP or from no WEP to WEP, ME102 need to be rebooted for the WAG511
to re-connect
2. When using WPA(TLS/PEAP) or 802.1x(TLS/PEAP) under XP system, user
must remove DNE(Deterministic Network Enhancer) service first or upgrade
service pack to SP2
3. In Ad-Hoc mode, cannot change channel in 802.11a. The channel selection
is automatic
Installation Instruction
1. Download the ZIP file, below
2. Extract the setup.exe file from the ZIP file to a convenient location
such as the desktop
3. Unplug the WAG511 adapter from the computer
4. Run setup.exe
5. Select Reinstall/Repair, click Next
6. Select the your Country Domain, click Next
7. Click OK at the Country Domain Selection warning
8. Click Yes to the License Agreement
9. Click Finish
10. Plug in the WAG511 adapter
11. Click Next to start the Found New Hardware Wizard
12. Click Finish when Found New Hardware Wizard is completed
13. To check if the upgrade is successful, double-click the WAG511 icon
on the system tray and click on the About tab. Driver version should be
3.1.1.754. AutoCell version should be 1.1.0.39. Smart Wireless version
should be 3.1.2.0
Note! This is the driver only. If you need the manual, Acrobat reader
or other, install the CD first.
.Warning: This is a large file! Click Save, not Open, when downloading
the link, and allow plenty of time for the download to complete. Dial-up
users can expect at least an hour downloading using a fast, otherwise
unused computer.
