Features

1. Added XR (extended Range) and AR (Adaptive Radio) features. These will be triggered when the XR or AR is enabled on the corresponding AR/XR capable routers: WGR624 and WGU624 (as of 10/01/04).

2. Compatible Windows XP Service Pack 2. Fixed XP zero configuration compatible issues. For Windows XP Home and XP Professional.

Installation, If Upgrading a Previous Installation

  1. Download and unzip wg511vv380.zip to a convenient place such as your desktop.
  2. Physically remove the adapter from your computer.

  1. Select Start > Program > WG511T Smart Wizard > Uninstall NETGEAR WG511T Software
  2. Run the removal utility, and complete the instructions to complete the removal
  3. Physically remove the adapter from your computer.
  4. Run the v3.9.0 installer, which is WG511Tv380.exe
  5. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
  6. For Windows 98, Windows SE, or Windows Me, reboot your computer
  7. Put the adapter back in your computer.


Installation, If Doing a First Time Install

Do not physically install the adapter yet !

  1. Download and unzip wg511vv380.zip to a convenient place such as your desktop.

  2. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
  3. Put the adapter in the computer.
