Copy the WG302 Beta F/W image: wg302_beta721.rmt into the TFTP Root directory, such as c:\TFTP-Root.
Rename the beta image to wg302.rmt for production units. Make a copy of wg302.rmt and rename it to ixp425.rmt for early beta units.
Connect your PC and WG302 directly via a CAT5 Ethernet cable.
  • Start TFTP server on your PC. (See version in download for picture.)
Disconnect the power cord from WG302.
  • Press and hold the reset button on WG302. Plug in the power while holding the reset button. Wait for 20 seconds before releasing the reset button. The TFTP server automatically transfers the beta firmware to the WG302.

  • WG302 automatically reboots upon successful TFTP transaction.
