Improving Wireless Range

WGR614v1 Firmware Version 1126

Published Sept. 30, 2003

Enhancements

Added Packet Burst Mode. Packet burst mode enable is available through the "Wireless" setting menu. The "Packet burst" option was optimized to the specific type of network through the wireless "mode" pull down menu (b only, b and g, g only). Due to packet bursting, a boost in the wireless performance is only possible if the transmitting unit has enabled "burst mode". The greatest performance improvement is in mixed b and g mode wireless networks.
