Modifications and Bug Fixes Version 1.3 Release 03

    1. Network Time Server (NTP) now works connecting to a PPPoA line.
    2. Fixed ADSL synchronization problem with some Deutsche Telekom lines.
    3. Fixed PPPoA disconnect problem with some ISPs.
    4. Improved stability under heavy traffic loads.
    5. Maximum MTU size is no longer limited to 1362 bytes.
    6. Firewall Rules can now contain overlapping ports as long as they are directed to the same server on the LAN

New Features Overview, Version 1.3 Release 03

  1. Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) was added, and is enabled by default. A check box was added to the Firewall Rules menu page to enable and disable the feature.

Upgrade Instructions

  1. Download using the button below to a convenient place such as your desktop.

  2. Using a browser, login to the router (the default URL is http://192.168.0.1). The user name is admin, and the default password is password.
  3. Under Maintenance, click Router Upgrade
  4. Note: When uploading software to the DG824, it is important not to interrupt the Web browser by closing the window, clicking a link, or loading a new page. If the browser is interrupted, the software may be corrupted. When the upload is complete, your gateway automatically restarts.

  5. Click Browse and locate the file which you just downloaded and extracted: dg824(m)_1303.IMG
  6. Click Upload.
  7. Wait for the upgrade progress bar to complete and final prompt to appear.
  8. Reset the modem: Press and hold the Default Reset button until the Test LED turns on (about 10 seconds).
  9. Release the Default Reset button and wait for the router to reboot.
