DG814 Firmware version 4.3

Modifications and Bug Fixes:

  1. PPPoA occasionally indicates connection is OK, when it has failed.
  2. Improved stability of Ethernet interface when using PPPoE and PPPoA.

New Features Overview:

  1. The look and feel of the Graphical User Interface has been updated to be easier to use. Help for each screen is along the right side of the screen.
  2. The new Smart Wizard will automatically detect the correct VPI/VCI combination, multiplexing method and encapsulation protocol (bridged Ethernet, PPPoE or PPPoA) on most systems.
  3. Network Address Translation can be disabled in the Port Forwarding menu, allowing traditional routing using multiple public IP addresses.

Upgrade Instructions:

Note: write down all of your configuration information before upgrading.

Also, when uploading software to the Model DG814 gateway, it is important not to interrupt the Web browser by closing the window, clicking a link, or loading a new page. If the browser is interrupted, it may corrupt the software. When the upload is complete, your gateway will automatically restart.

  1. Download using the button below to a convenient place such as your desktop.

  2. Using a browser, login to the router (the default URL is http://192.168.0.1). The user name is admin, and the default password is password.
  3. Under Maintenance, click Router Upgrade
  4. Click Browse and locate the file which you just downloaded and extracted:DG814_V43.bin
  5. Click Upload.
  6. Wait for the upgrade progress bar to complete and final prompt to appear.
