• This driver release for the 54 Mbps Wireless USB Adapter (WG111v2) addresses security concerns raised in recent reports pertaining to exploiting the stack overflow in the wireless driver.

To Upgrade

1. Download using the button below to a convenient place such as your desktop. Note that this is a large file! ( 7.06 MB )

2. Uninstall the existing adapter software by selecting Start > Programs > NETGEAR WG111v2 Adapter > Uninstall NETGEAR WG111v2 Smart Wizard. The Install Assistant window displays. (Windows XP screens are shown however the process works similarly in other operating systems.)

3. Click Next.

4. Click Yes.

5. Click Next to complete uninstallation.

6. Click OK to finish the Install Assistant.
