This note describes bug fixes incorporated in FWG114P software release
Version 2.0 Release 10. The enhancements and fixes are those added since
Version 2.0 Release 06.
Modifications and Bug Fixes
- A problem where in autorollover mode the modem would dial even though
the broadband port was still active has been fixed
- After a factory reset, the new default for VPN passthrough is enabled.
Previously the default was disabled
- Preshared key in VPN IKE policy now hidden, no longer displayed as
text
- Rules now support WAN IP addresses ending in 255
- Fixed logging problems resulting from moving inbound/outbound rules
- Fixed a problem working with Cuseeme
- Fixed problem with diagnostic page ping function so it now works
in NAT-off mode
- Fixed problem where when email enabled, email would be sent when
the log was full even if “Send logs according to this schedule” was
set to “None”
- Fixed a problem where the FVS328 would not route if the DHCP assigned
WAN IP was the same IP as the gateway (for example working with the
DM602)
- DHCP force/renew now supported (for example working with DM602)
- Fixed various problems with buttons not functioning with Safari 1.1
(v100)
- Fixed Services range to include ports 1..65535
- Fixed issues with various printers
- Updated the VPN status page
Known Issues
- Serial line auto-rollover is not available with NAT off. Please use
the FWG114P in NAT mode if the auto-rollover function is desired
- If you experience difficulty in printing out the last page, select
'LPR byte counting enabled' in the printer port properties. This is
a known limitation in remote printing on a network
- On the new VPN status page, the “Drop” button is sometimes grayed
out when it shouldn’t be
- When email notification is enabled, the hourly and daily settings
under “Send logs according to this schedule” don’t work, but send when
full works
Upgrade Procedure
You must clear the configuration AFTER upgrading. Please write down all
of your configuration information before upgrading.

Upgrade using the web interface Router Upgrade menu.
1. Open the browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape).
2. Access the router (usually http://192.168.0.1).
3. Login to the router (User Name = admin Password =
password unless you have changed it).
4. Write down all configuration settings that you have previously set.
5. Under Maintenance, click Router Upgrade.
6. Click Browse and locate the upgrade file FWG114P_2010.img.
7. Click Upload.
8. Wait for the router to reboot.
9. Under Maintenance, click Settings Backup.
10. Click Erase.
11. Wait for the router to reboot.
You must clear the configuration AFTER upgrading. Please write
