Enhancements
- Add Port Monitoring (Mirroring) capability. With Port Mirroring,
you can connect a network analyzer to a mirroring port and get all the
traffic to and from a mirrored port for analysis.
Installation Procedure (also located in your documentation)
- Download the new firmware and stored into a known location in your
local system (e.g., \download) which you will need in the next step
- Start Smartwizard Discovery utility, which is included on the CD
that came with your Smart Switch. If you have not installed, please
install it
- On Smartwizard Discovery window, click Discover to locate your Smart
Switch. The switch will be listed in the device list table once it is
found. (Note: Smartwizard Discovery uses broadcast packet to locate
Smart Switches. This means that it can only locate Smart Switches located
within the same routing domain)
- Highlight the Smart Switch to upgrade and click “Firmware Upgrade”
and follow the screen prompts to complete the upgrade. Smartwizard Discovery
will report a successful completion at the end of update
