This describes versions of the WPN802 RangeMax Wireless Access Points. There is no external difference, except the label. Versions can be identified on the shelf by reading the box it ships in, or by reading the bottom label on the unit itself.

• The firmware is not interchangable! You must select the appropriate version.
• It is not possible to order one particular version on the Web.
• No upgrade between hardware versions is available.
• Support Web pages refer to all versions. Marketing sites (such as www.netgear.com) only refer to latest version.

WPN802v2

First available in March 2006, this version is identified by the "v2" following "WPN802" on the bottom label.
