Unable To Access Internet When Using WGXB102 (XE102 and WGX102 bundle)

Issues:  

  • Unable to connect to Internet using WGX102 and XE102 powerline adapter

Installation WGXB102 

  • Plug XE102 to a power outlet.
  • Connect XE102 to one of the LAN ports of the existing router.
      
  • The power and Ethernet LEDs should be lit on the XE102.
     
  • Plug the WGX102 on another power outlet near your wireless computer.
  • The three LEDs should be lit up.  If not, make sure both devices are connected in same phase of electricity. Try them on the same room before putting on a remote location. 
     
  • The following network structure is prepared.
      
  • Once it is confirmed that all three lights are lit on both the devices, your wireless computer can be connected wirelessly to WGX102 device.

How to Connect wirelessly to WGX102 device 

  • Click on Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections.
  • Click on Network Connections.
       
  • Right-click on Wireless Network Connection and click Properties.
       
  • Go to Wireless Networks Tab and ensure that the Use Windows to configure my wireless settings box is checked. 
     
  • Click OK.  Then right-click on Wireless Network Connection and click on View Available Wireless Networks
  • Select your network and click on Connect, it may prompt you to enter the network key, if your network is configured with any security.  The default network name for WGX102 is NETGEAR, and security is disabled (no network key needed).
