System Requirements

• Operating systems
  • Windows XP SP2 or higher, or
  • Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or higher
• DCHP must be running on your network.
• SC101T software must be installed on each network computer that accesses the unit.

What operating systems cannot be used?

• Macintoshes
• UNIX
• 64-bit operating systems

Heat and the SC101T

The SC101T keeps the overall temperature of the unit low by using a top mounted fan to force air between the two drives. Since the fan is pulling air from the top of the SC101T for cooling, NEVER place anything on top of the SC101T

What disks are compatible with the SC101T?

In general, all SATA I and II drives are compatible with the SC101T. For a list of tested drives, see SC101T Hard Drive Compatibility.

Does vertical disk mounting affect disk life?
