• What is the Dual-mode Cordless Phone with Skype?

• Can I use this phone to make and receive calls through my home phone line?

Yes, you can use it to replace your home phone and make/receive calls through the use of a "land line".

• Isn’t Skype designed to just work on PCs and laptops?

Not anymore. Now you can walk around untethered within your home and talk to other Skype users anywhere in the world.

• On a PC, Skype shows when my contacts are online. How does that work with the NETGEAR Cordless Phone?

An intuitive on-screen menu lets you see who is online and available to talk, similar to what you see on a PC.

• Can I use it to talk with non-Skype users?

For pennies a minute and no monthly fee, you can use SkypeOut minutes to call any phone.

• How do I download Skype to the CordlessPhone?

It is pre-loaded and ready to use---just plug it in to a live Internet connection.

• What the term DECT mean?

DECT is a cordless phone standard and stands for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications. DECT cordless phones provide long range, clear voice quality, and advanced digital features.

• Can I add additional wireless handset to the SPH200D?

Yes, the SPH200D supports up to 4 handsets per household (additional handsets sold separately as SPH105D)

• Can I use the SPH101 with the SPH200D?

You can make and receive calls between the SPH101 and SPH200D, however the SPH101 needs to connect to a WiFi network before you can make or receive calls. The SPH101 cannot connect wirelessly to the SPH200D base station.

• What is Skype phone? How does it work?

NETGEAR's Skype devices enable consumers to make unlimited free domestic and international calls to other Skype users over a wireless network without being tied to a computer.
