WN511B Adapter General Information

What operations systems are supported?

WN511B supports Win2000 and WinXP only. Windows98 & ME is not supporting.

Can WN511B be used with current 802.11b/g router?

Yes. It is compatibly with the current 802.11b and g router

Is WN511T support Ad-Hoc?

Yes. But it only support 54Mpbs or lower rates (802.11b & g standard).

What is the new technology implemented by WN511B?

WN511B uses EWC/802.11n Draft MIMO technology. There are two antennas inside. It is capable of transmitting and receiving using both antennas.

How are the LEDs read?

WN511B has one blue LED. The LED will blink when it is looking for a network to associate. Once it establishes a connection with a network then the LED will be solid.

What is the maximum wireless rate for WN511B?

WN511B can achieve up to 270Mbps when connecting to a RangeMax NEXT wireless router WNR834B. In order for WN511B to reach the maximum performance with RangeMax NEXT wireless router, either no security or WPA2-PSK[AES] should be used when connecting to a WNR834B.
