SC101 Hard Drive Compatibility List

The SC101 Storage Central comes without hard drives, letting you choose from a wide variety of choices. You can also replace drives easily in the future with more advanced ones, expanding capacity indefinitely.

• The newer 133 drives are recommended.
• All ATA6 drives tested so far have passed testing.
• No ATA5 drives work — or any earlier ones.
• Serial-ATA (SATA) drives do not work.
• Other drives are being tested.
• The data on a drive formatted on a PC will not be readable on the SC101, and may be corrupted, even if you do not explictly overwrite the disk.

The list below is NOT an exhaustive list. These are merely ones we have confirmed working. In general, all ATA6 hard drives should be compatible. They may be labeled as any of the following:
