Common WGE111 Game Adapter Troubleshooting Situations

The default IP address of the WGE111 is: 192.168.0.202.

Cannot Configure the Game Adapter from the Browser

  • You did not specify the correct wireless game adapter IP address, or
  • Make sure both ends of the Ethernet cable between the computer and the wireless game adapter are securely plugged in, or
  • Refer to the troubleshooting in the User Manual, Chapter 5.

 

The Game Adapter is not Found by the Smart Wizard

Make sure the Game Adapter is connected to the computer, and the Game Adapter's LAN light is solidly on.

  1. Turn the game adapter off.
  2. Turn the game adapter on.

 

Switching Between Ad Hoc and Infrastructure Modes

  1. Turn the Game Adapter off.
  2. Set the switch position to INTERNET or ADHOC.
  3. Turn the Game Adapter on.

 

LEDs Blink Constantly

This assumes the WGE111 Game Adapter is connected to a hub, and both connect wirelessly to a wireless access point or wireless router.

  1. Disconnect the game adapter from the hub.
  2. Connect the game adapter to a computer or game console.
  3. Turn the game adapter off.
  4. Turn the game adapter on.

Players Cannot See One Another When Each has a Game Adapter in Infrastructure Mode

  1. Make sure the Game Adapter connects to the Game Consoles.
  2. Make sure the Game Adapter's LAN lights are solid on.
    Make sure both Game Adapter's WAN lights are solid on. If not, see WAN Light Flashing and No Internet Connection.
  3. Turn one Game Console off.
  4. Turn above Game Console on.
  5. Turn another Game Console off.
  6. Turn above Game Console on.
