Advanced WG302 Access Point Configuration

Advanced WG302 Access Point Configuration

This describes advanced configuration for administrators. Configuration can be done either through the access point's GUI, or through command line FTP and modifying the configuration file shown below in a text editor.

Reasons to manipulate the configuration file include:

  • You wish to keep previous versions of the configuration for backup and historical reasons.
  • The network is very slow, causing the GUI to be difficult to use.
  • You want identical changes to be made across more than one access point.

    Username: admin
    Default password: password

To Get Firmware Version

The WG302 is a business access point. It's easy to manage, and very stable and secure.

To increase coverage, either:

get WG302.VER

To Get the Station Table

We recommend doing this and saving a copy before any manual changes to the configuration file.

get WG302.STA

To Upgrade the Firmware

put path\WG302.RMG WG302.RMG

To Get Configuration

get WG302.CFG

To Set Configuration

put path\WG302.CFG WG302.CFG

Example of use:

open 172.31.17.183
admin
password
get WG302.VER c:\FTP-Root\172.31.17.183.Version.b.txt
get WG302.STA c:\FTP-Root\172.31.17.183.Status.txt
get WG302.CFG c:\FTP-Root\172.31.17.183.Config.txt
put c:\FTP-Root\WG302.RMG WG302.RMG
put c:\cfg\wg302.cfg WG302.CFG
disconnect
