Rebate Questions and Answers

Where can I get a rebate?

If you do not have a rebate coupon, ask for one where you bought the product. NETGEAR does not have copies of retailer's rebate coupons.

For online purchases check the online retailer’s Web site. Forms are sometimes available for downloading from the Web site. If you still can’t locate a form, contact the online retailer where you purchased the item. NETGEAR cannot provide rebate forms.

What is Mailed In for a Rebate?

Usually:

1) Proof of purchase: The receipt from the retail store or the printed purchase confirmation from an online retailer. Some rebates through retailers require the original proof of purchase. Please read the entire rebate coupon for requirements. Do not confuse the receipt with the rebate reciept. Some stores use a rebate receipt with just the rebate info on it and not the purchase information. To be safe, copy both, and send both in.

2) UPC (Universal Price Code): This is the code from the side of the product box. You must it cut from the box, and send it in. An example UPC:



3) The completed rebate form: Please print legibly! Send the original rebate coupon, as copies are not always accepted. Read all the rebate coupon requirements.

Some rebates may require different contact information. Make sure you contact the right department.

  • IMPORTANT: Make copies of ALL of the above for your records.
  • Write the mailing date on your copies.
  • Send the rebate to the address on the rebate forms. Do not send rebates to NETGEAR.
  • Include the offer number next to the mailing address on the front of the envelope for faster processing.

The form states that P.O. Box Addresses are Not Acceptable. I only get mail at there. How do I complete the Order Form?

Please include a note that includes your street address or Rural Route, P.O. Box address, and a note indicating that you do not receive home delivery of mail in your area. If your rebate is denied for that reason, please go to Rebate Customer Service at www.netgearrebates.com to submit a query online. Please provide as much information as possible.

The Rebate Form Requires the Original Receipt. Would a Copy be Acceptable?

If the instructions on the form require an original receipt, that is required to get the rebate. Take a copy of the receipt for your records. If you lost or misplaced your original receipt, check with the retailer where the purchase was made to see if they can reprint the receipt. Be prepared to supply them with the purchase date.

The Form for the Rebate Expired. Can I Still Apply?

Unfortunately, you have missed the opportunity to apply for the rebate. Always remember to check the form’s expiration date and apply as early as possible to take advantage of any future rebates.

I Cannot Find the Address to Mail the Rebate. Where Should I Mail My Request?

Review both sides of the form. If the address is not on the form, please review the entire advertisement for the address. Do not send rebates to NETGEAR.

How Long Does a Rebate Take?

Usually 8-10 weeks, but sometimes longer. Please wait 10 weeks before asking about rebate status.

How Do I Check the Status of my Rebate?

Go to www.netgearrebates.com. Follow the instructions to check status. If you do not see your information listed or you have additional questions regarding your rebate, click Rebate Customer Service to submit a query online.

I Submitted the Rebate on Behalf of My Company. How Do I Check the Status if Submitted Under a Company Name?

The rebate form provided at www.netgearrebates.com allows you to search by company name. If you don’t find it that way, you may also want to search by substituting business name for first and last name in the alternate search field.

My Status Indicates My Rebate was Denied OR I Got an Email Informing Me of Rebate Denial, What Should I do Next?

Read the email to understand why your submission was returned. If possible, include the required documentation and resubmit according to the stipulations in the letter. Please note that all documentation outlined on the Rebate Form is required for resubmission.

Can I Call NETGEAR About Rebate Coupons and Status?

Please use the contact information first before contacting NETGEAR. Technical Support does not have coupons, rebates, or copies of rebate forms. Technical Support has no way of answering rebate questions, nor can they expedite or forward rebate information.

  • Rebate amount

I Got the Wrong Item or Wrong Rebate Amount. How Do I Correct This?

Locate your submission and click Rebate Customer Service at www.netgearrebates.com to submit a query online. Please provide as much information as possible.

I Forgot to Include Something in the Envelope That is Required to Get the Rebate. What Should I Do?

Please keep the item. You may receive an email in the near future or check the status online and see that your rebate has been denied. When you discover the denial, include the missing item and resubmit according to the stipulations in the letter.
