When the ReadyNAS unit is connected to a switch that uses STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) it can’t get an IP address from the DHCP server.

Solution:

When the ReadyNAS is connected to a switch that uses STP, the port the ReadyNAS is attached to needs to have “Fastlink=ON” to work correctly.
